6 design and photography podcasts to give a try

«Hey, why don’t we record ourselves talking and make a podcast? I bet lots of people would be willing to listen to it!»

With podcasts popping up everywhere, this has likely been one of the most popular quotes in recent years.

And it’s no wonder. Podcasts have quickly become one of the most streamed media formats. Their flexible and easy-to-consume nature allows thousands of people to entertain themselves or learn about different subjects while working, cleaning, driving, or simply relaxing.

The number of themes podcasts talk about is almost infinite: plant care, learning new languages, self-growth, or even paranormal phenomena. Today, however, we want to show you the most inspiring design and photography podcasts. Grab your headphones and tap play.

1. The messy truth – Conversations on photography

The British photographer Gem Fletcher hosts the first podcast on our list. Throughout each episode, which lasts around 30-60 minutes, Gem holds conversations with different professionals related to photography, both emerging and leading artists, curators, and critics, about the state of photography and their work.

2. The honest designers show

Being a designer is anything but easy. It takes a lot of time to learn how to navigate one of the most stressful yet beautiful and rewarding jobs out there. In The Honest Designers Show, hosted by Tom Ross, Ian Barnard, Dustin Lee, and Lisa Glanz, you will travel around all the corners of the design world only to discover the best pieces of advice to thrive as a designer.

3. The candid frame

4. Adventures in design

Adventures in Design is a platform that goes beyond graphic design, with different sections dedicated to other creative fields like music or fashion. Under the graphic design section, Mark Brickley explores how other designers have managed to create a space for happiness in their lives.
