Ambassadors Around the World

Velázquez was clearly influenced by the Spanish monarchy, Diego Rivera filled his works with the Mexico’s cultural costumes, characters and landscapes, and Roberto Ossaye brought Guatemalan culture closer to European culture through his creative work.

Whatever we do, we’re all influenced by the environment that surrounds us – everything that has filled our eyes since we came into this world in the particular place where we started painting for the first time, wrote our first bad poem or grabbed a camera to make sure we’d never forget what was happening.

Here at Freepik, we’re lucky to have people from literally anywhere in the world nearby. It’s time we took advantage of that fact to find out more about a few members of our community, where they come from, what it’s like where they’re doing their creative work, and what it means to them.

So welcome to Ambassadors around the world, a new section that invites you to travel to places you never imagined you’d visit from this very screen.

Stella.Daiu – Albania

You may have heard about Stella’s country this summer: Albania. The fact is that it’s the least known part of the Mediterranean and this is exactly what is attracting more and more tourists who are increasingly impressed by everything there is to discover in the country.

Stella recommends:

  • The Albanian Riviera (Ksamil beach, Gjipe beach, The Blue Eye water spring, Grama Bay, Pirate’s Cave (Dhermi), Karaburun-Sazan, Vuno, Porto Palermo, Cape Merli, Bristani Bay, Dafina Bay, Saint Andrea Bay, Krorez Bay, Kakome Bay etc.)

The best time to visit is in spring and autumn in general, although the Albanian Riviera is best visited in summer. In the words of our ambassador, “These places concentrate the authenticity of Albania, a beautiful union of sea, lakes, rivers, mountains and fascinating historical sites.”

Negoo Silva – Brazil

We recently enjoyed an interview with our ambassador from Brazil where we got to know a little bit more about him, now it’s his turn to present his country. It’s a country he adores and that makes its presence felt both in his designs and in his calendar, where he marks every day that’s important for his people, and tries to make them to be even better through his creative projects.

Negoo recommends:

  • Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro.

For Negoo, these places have magic, they awaken a special, fascinating energy that everyone should experience. If possible visit in summer, the best time to enjoy the country’s charm.

StarLine – India

Movies, series, documentaries and so many cultural pieces have already shone a light on a culture that at first sight seems so different to ours. But the best way to get to know a place is clearly with a guide like our contributor, who has been living in India for so many years.

StarLine our India Ambassador recommends:

  • Taj Mahal in Agra
