2021 in Review – Contributors’ Highlights

A new year is lying ahead, so it would be time for a little recap of what’s happened in 2021. We’ve worked hard to offer you the best experience as a contributor, and together we’ve reached some milestones. Lots of things happened this 2021, but we can’t be more grateful for counting on your talent and creativity.

Here are some of the highlights of 2021, thanks to you.

2021 Highlights

It always amazes us how many milestones we’re able to reach. Our creative community hasn’t stopped growing! More than 4k talented photographers and designers joined as contributors and published their content on Freepik .

Besides, hundreds of contributors increased their earnings by referring other people through our Referral Program

In 2021, your contribution to Freepik was huge. Thanks to your amazing photos, vectors, and PSD designs, Freepik’s users got access to millions of new resources. But let’s talk about data, shall we? (Drum roll, please ):

Contributors shared and published 7,174,685 graphic resources on Freepik.

Out of these, 5,442,527 were photos

1,482,011 were vectors

And 212,596 PSD files were published.

Not bad, huh? Our account, @freepikcontributor, also got new followers: we’re already 26k on Instagram. Follow us to stay up to date with the latest news and other tips to skyrocket your portfolio and make more money.

Our motto: keep improving

We know you put a lot of effort into what you do. That’s why we work hard every day to offer you the best experience as a contributor. In 2021 we launched our newest feature: the metadata editor. It’s an intuitive tool designed to simplify the tagging process for contributors.

But there’s more to selling your content on Freepik. You also become a part of our international creative community by becoming a contributor. To make you feel part of it, we celebrated four webinars throughout the year, where we could share knowledge and get to know more about your concerns and doubts. You can watch the recording of the last webinar here.
